P.S.

Secretly, she was dreading the arrival of his time to depart. Perhaps the hug was more than a hug. it was an exchange of energy, and a goodbye. It felt as if she’d lost a little, instantly feeling a little quieter within, a little sadder. Perhaps she’d gain a sweet memory, but leaving her to reminsce it all the time would only infuse more pain, as when one experiences in rubbing salt on their wound. In just a flash he was going through the gantry, and with him he seemed to have carried the warmth she radiated, and a little of what he’d given her – hope. But as their backs saw each other’s, it would be a long time before another moment together again; whatever was ignited in her heart would, for now, dim. and those emotions would be properly dealt with, locked and chained in a dungeon dug deep down.
